The Plexus Way: How to Make an Income Claim

One of the many great benefits of being a Plexus® Ambassador is that it allows you to share your passion for health and wellness with others while earning some extra spending cash. When you and your team members spread the word about how Plexus products can help enhance your health while providing residual income, everybody benefits.

However, when making claims about income, it’s important to represent the facts accurately so that it’s clear what an average or typical Ambassador might expect to earn from their business. In addition, when speaking of the business opportunity, claims must be truthful, non-misleading and substantiated.

Here are some examples of acceptable ways you can communicate the residual income you earn from your business with Plexus:

“Thanks to Plexus, I’m able to take my kids to the movies more often.”

“My Plexus business helps me out with my weekly grocery money.”

“The extra income I receive as a Plexus Ambassador means my husband and I can enjoy a date night occasionally.”

Extravagant claims that might be construed as misleading or inflated, such as references to cars, lavish homes or early retirement, should be avoided. Income claims should be based on actual earnings and should include the following disclaimer:

“Plexus makes no guarantees on income, as such representations may be misleading. Your success depends on your efforts, commitment, skill and leadership abilities, and how effectively you exercise those qualities. Please see the Plexus Annual Income Statement.”

Still not sure if your claim is compliant? Check out the one-page Annual Income Disclosure Statement referenced above, which illustrates the average annual earnings of Plexus Ambassadors, or consult our comprehensive Policies & Procedures guide, both available on the Plexus website.
