Has this ever happened to you? You’re sharing your love for Plexus Slim with a friend when she stops you to say, “I would never get into that healthy pink drink craze!” How do you respond?
We all face objections in our lives. From your kids refusing to eat their vegetables to your friend who doesn’t believe in taking a multivitamin, objections occur on a regular basis.
When you build your own business, you are definitely going to run into many “not so pleasant” objections. How you address the situation can help you turn what seems like a negative experience into a positive.
The best way to respond to objections is by using a technique known as Feel, Felt, Found.
Here is how it works:
FEEL – Hear out the objection
Listen closely to your potential. Most likely, you or someone you know has been in their shoes with similar objections or concerns.
FELT – Show empathy
Let your potential know that you or someone you know has been there too. By sharing how you or your friend felt, you are more relatable and your potential will likely listen to what you have to say.
FOUND – Share your resolution
Finally, share how you or your friend overcame their objection. How did you resolve your concern? Tell your potential how overcoming the objection enhanced your health or improved the health of your friend.
Practice makes perfect
The more you practice Feel, Felt, Found, the more confident you will feel with responding to objections. Ask your Sponsor or a friend to present an objection that you think would come from a potential and practice your Feel, Felt, Found response.
