Plexus offers amazing products, as well as an amazing opportunity. Last week, we discussed some ways to use new Canada product claims to help grow your business. Today, we’re following up by talking about how to discuss the earning opportunity with our newest market.

Canada Income Claims vs US Income Claims

Acceptable income claims aren’t that different between Canada and the US. This means that the basics of making compliant income claims are still in effect whether you’re advertising to a Canadian or US prospect. Both countries’ regulatory bodies recognize that income claims should be reasonable, substantiated, and non-misleading.

The Competition Bureau vs The FTC

While the US has the FTC to watch out for misleading claims, Canada has the Competition Bureau. These two entities, similarly to how Health Canada and the FDA have different regulations, have slight differences when it comes to disclosing income claims. This is why the income claim disclaimer we use for Canada materials is slightly different from the income claim disclaimer on US materials. See for yourself!

Canada

And if you were wondering, the asterisk (*) in the Canada Income Disclaimer refers to the following statement:

*All earnings/amounts in USD will be paid in Canadian dollars (CAD) according to the Plexus Foreign Exchange Rate Policy

Canadian Audiences vs American Audiences

Not only is there a different disclaimer for each market, there are also different Compensation Plans and Income Disclosure Statements, all available on their respective US and Canada webpages. Plexus makes it easy for Ambassadors to provide earnings information to prospects with these simple sharing tools that can help you provide accurate information about the Plexus opportunity.

Like with Canada and US product claims, just remember to use the materials that correspond to the appropriate market. So, if you are advertising the opportunity to a Canadian prospect or audience, you should use the Canadian compensation plan and income disclaimer. And when advertising to a US audience, you should use the US compensation plan and income disclaimer.
