Everyone loves a top 5 list; they condense useful information into a compact, easy-to-read, package. This week, we’re throwing our own entry into the mix with a countdown of the 5 most frequent reasons why the Compliance department reaches out to the Ambassador field to show you some of the different duties assigned to our team.
5. Multi-beneficial Interest
Having a beneficial interest in an account means that you have control or some form of influence over an Ambassador account. Basically, it means that you own an Ambassador account with Plexus®.
Sometimes, we find that an Ambassador somehow ends up with multiple accounts or has their personal/payment information on other accounts. Because of Policy 4G of our Policies and Procedures, which states that Ambassadors should only have beneficial interest in one Ambassadorship, we reach out to find out what’s going on. Keeping your info to yourself is also a good way to practice information security.
4. Online Sales
Some people might think that selling Plexus products on third party sales sites like Ebay, Amazon, and Craigslist is an easy way to reach new customers. The unfortunate truth is that buyers of these products aren’t getting the full benefits that a Plexus customer should be receiving.
Customers can easily purchase from an Ambassador’s replicated website and have access to Plexus’ resources in warehousing, shipping, and customer care. To ensure that all Plexus customers receive the quality product and service, we reach out to sellers on these third party sale sites to remind them of our policies.
Our Compliance team will contact Ambassadors who purchase high volumes of product within a small period of time. This ensures that the majority of the product is either consumed or sold to prevent people from purchasing more product than they know what to do with, also known as inventory loading.
Plexus stands behind its products, which is why we not only have a generous 60 Day Money Back Guarantee for unsatisfied customers (Section 6J), but also a Buyback Policy for unsold inventory (Section 11C).
Plexus offers the opportunity to make some extra money, and that’s exciting! We understand how some Ambassadors can go a little too far when advertising this amazing opportunity. This is where the Compliance department comes in. We work to help Ambassadors advertise a more realistic expectation of what the Plexus opportunity can do for its participants.¤
1. Product Claims
Plexus products are pretty fantastic. They offer amazing product benefits, which we’ve covered in our series of “How to Share” articles. But as we all know, supplements are not meant to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. So whenever a product claim that exceeds Plexus’ comprehensive substantiation catches our eye, we reach out and ask for simple changes to be made. We help Ambassadors tell their stories while still sharing product benefits that customers can reasonably expect to receive from the products.
And there we are: 5 of the most common reasons why the Compliance team might pick up the phone or draft up an email to make some friendly, educational contact with our Ambassadors. We hope that this helps you to understand Compliance’s role with Plexus a little better.
