No one likes hearing the word “no”, but just because someone objects to what you have to say right now, it doesn’t mean “no” forever.
As you share Plexus products and the opportunity, you will come across plenty of “no’s” or objections. This is completely normal. In fact, if someone says “yes” too quickly, they may not be genuinely interested in Plexus for the long-term.
How do you respond to objections?
Here are some great ways to handle objections, so that you can stay focused on growing your business and nurturing your relationships.
Build Meaningful Friendships
A business that relies on social sharing is all about the connections you build and foster. When your friends and potentials recognize that you genuinely care for what they have to say, they will be more interested in what you have to share.
Many people may be adverse to direct selling at first, but as you let your excitement and passion for Plexus come through naturally in your conversations, and help people see how Plexus can benefit their health and happiness, they will be more open to what you have to say.
Be Okay With “No” For Right Now
Being okay with “no” is essential to growing your business. When people say “no”, it just may not be the right time. Don’t let your potential’s objection keep you from continuing to develop your friendship. You never know when they will decide to give Plexus a try. Many customers and Ambassadors have shared stories of how they were initially uninterested in the Plexus products and opportunity but changed their mind down the road.
Feel, Felt Found
A common way to respond to objections is through a technique known as Feel, Felt, Found. By using this technique, you validate your potential’s concern, help them see that you understand how they feel, and let them know you felt the same way before joining Plexus.
Here are a few examples:
“I know how you FEEL. I FELT the same way when my friend told me about Plexus. I was completely against direct selling. But, when I looked into it more, I FOUND…”
Or, you can share how a friend was in your potential’s shoes at one point.
“I completely understand how you FEEL. My friend, Jessica, FELT the same way until she FOUND out that…”
