Traditionally February has always been a month dedicated to hearts, lovebirds and all things Valentines related, February also reminds us to take care of our heart. It is American Heart Month.
During this month we pay tribute to researchers, physicians, public health professionals and volunteers for their relentless efforts in preventing, treating, and researching heart disease. We celebrate American Hearth Month by helping to raise awareness in communities about heart disease.
Now is a great time for you, your family, and your communities to commit to a healthy lifestyle and make small changes that can lead to a lifetime of heart health. If you’re not doing so already, get involved in American Heart Month. Spread the word about strategies for preventing heart disease and living heart healthy lives.

Wear red on the first Friday of February (tomorrow Feb. 7) for National Wear Red Day! Check out the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute’s shareables to spread the word!
