Before You Start:

  1. Write down your goals
Ask yourself what you want to accomplish. Better yet, tell yourself what you will accomplish. Be specific. Establishing measurable goals will help you stay on track down the road and see when you’re making progress. Equally as important is why you want to do this. It’s important not only to understand your reasons why but to write them down.
Examples: I will lose 2 clothing sizes so I can stop hiding behind my clothes and feel more comfortable when I’m at work or out with friends; I will stop comparing myself to others and feel great about the way I look; I will stop sitting on the sidelines and be a better mentor for my children; I will stop feeling let down by weight loss plans that overpromise and underdeliver. Instead, I will finally learn how to take care of my health and weight so I can stop dieting and start living.
  2. Create a plan
A plan is the key to losing the weight and keeping it off. Once you’ve written down your health goals, outline your action plan. Hint: Use the items on this list to help you. While you’re creating your plan, consider making smaller checkpoint goals throughout,  like having more energy to keep up with your daily life or your clothes fitting better. Your overall goal will feel more obtainable when you have stepping-stones to get you there.
Example: I will walk 4,000 steps, or I will exercise 5 times a week for 20 minutes, or I will go on an hour walk 4 days a week.
  3. Choose an accountability partner
Don’t go it alone! Accountability and support are essential in creating a new health routine. Find someone you trust who will hold you to your goals, help you when you’re struggling, and empower you every step of the way. It could be your significant other, your best friend, your favorite coworker, your brother or sister, your Plexus Ambassador — anyone!
  4. Order your products
We’ve taken the guesswork out of weight loss with our incredible product combinations. Soon, you’ll join thousands of others who have rediscovered their confidence with the incredible Plexus products, tools, and support you need to break through the barriers and form sustainable habits. Work with your accountability buddy to talk about your new products and how you will use them to help you reach your goals.*
  5. Brush up on Plexus resources
It’s important to know what you’re getting yourself into with a new routine and to plan accordingly. We want to help you have the best possible experience, so we’ve put together several resources, including meal plans, Plexus Lean™ recipes, and much more. Check out our guide.
  6. Clean out and restock your kitchen
This one can be difficult at first, but you’ll thank yourself later. It’s much easier to opt for snacks and meals that are good for you when they’re readily available. Similarly, if your kitchen is full of processed, sugary snacks, you’ll be more inclined to give in to temptations. Before you begin, clear out the junk food and stock up on healthy, fresh options like veggies, fruits, and protein-packed meals and snacks. This will help you stay clear of the yo-yo diet train and develop habits that you can maintain long-term instead.
Special Tip: While it’s important to eat healthy, you also shouldn’t deprive yourself of an occasional treat. Try using the 80/20 rule, in which 80% of your food choices are healthy, and you can also live a little with some of your favorite goodies 20% of the time.   During Your Journey:
  7. Track your progress
That doesn’t mean stepping on the scale every hour. Instead, track how successfully you’ve followed your plan throughout the week. Meet with your accountability partner once a week to go over how you’re doing. Talk about your victories and be honest about your struggles. Your partner can help! Work together to determine what is working along with any adjustments you want to make for the next week. Remember, you don’t have to dread your weight loss journey. You’ll be even more successful when you’re excited about your progress and your goals.
  8. Reward yourself
Remember to celebrate the small victories as you go. You’re taking great steps toward rediscovering your confidence, and you deserve to reward yourself for meeting your checkpoint goals. Plus, it will keep you fired up to push even harder going forward. While we don’t suggest going overboard by eating an entire pizza or binge-watching a new show for 3 days straight, treat yourself to something healthy that doesn’t take away from your progress.
  9. Stick to it
Consistency is key. Keep yourself motivated by reflecting on your goals and your “Why.” And don’t be too hard on yourself when you slip up. Tell yourself you’ll do better next time and find ways to stay encouraged. Don’t be afraid to lean on your accountability buddy or your One Plexus community for support.
  10. Share your success
Be proud of yourself! You’re working hard and staying determined to reach your goals. Tell people about it! Not only will they cheer you on, but your story might also inspire someone else to start their own journey. Share your wins— big and small — by posting on social media. Be sure to use the hashtag #plexusworldwide.

Always remember, you have the potential to achieve everything you set out to do. You deserve to be proud of your body and confident in the way you look. It’s time to reignite your passion for healthy living and become an active participant in your life!
